Sales Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Sales Manager to lead business development initiatives, drive revenue growth, and ensure alignment across bids and client engagements. The ideal candidate will leverage strong regional relationships, manage a team of sales personnel, and provide hands-on leadership across sales, contract review, and commercial negotiations. This is not a traditional sales role; we are looking for a professional with a solid grounding in operations, technical understanding, and commercial acumen.


Key Accountabilities:

Business Development & Client Engagement

  • Identify and map target sectors in line with Berkeley’s business objectives.

  • Generate new qualified leads aligned with the company’s target sectors by leveraging existing relationships within the UAE

  • Conduct strategic meetings with current clients to identify opportunities for portfolio expansion.

  • Continually follow up on submitted tenders with key client stakeholders including procurement, operations, and senior management to improve win rate.

Sales Management

  • Maintain and update CRM/Excel trackers for all ongoing leads across the sales team.

  • Lead and manage the sales team to ensure effective lead generation, qualification, and conversion.

  • Coordinate weekly pipeline review meetings with the CSO, consolidating inputs from all team members.

  • Track performance metrics, provide coaching, and ensure alignment with the company’s growth targets.

Bid and Proposal Oversight

  • Oversee the proposal development process, working closely with bid, commercial, and technical teams to ensure compelling and compliant submissions.

  • Bring back scope-related feedback from clients and lead internal coordination for revisions or value-engineered alternatives.

  • Liaise with client procurement and operations departments to request extensions and clarifications when needed.

Client Presentations and Negotiations

  • Present proposals and solutions effectively, demonstrating a strong understanding of client requirements and addressing queries in collaboration with technical teams.

  • Lead negotiations with clients, involving senior management when necessary to close
    deals.

  • Liaise with client procurement and operations departments to request extensions and clarifications when needed.


    


Role Specification:

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business facilities management, or a related field. An MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus.

  • Additional certifications in contract management, commercial law, or business development would be an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or similar role, preferably in facilities management or similar industry within the UAE.

Knowledge and Special Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales leadership role within the facilities management sector in the UAE.

  • Proven track record in client-facing roles, with experience in managing tenders and driving revenue growth.

  • Prior experience in reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts is essential.

  • Sound understanding of MEP services, integrated facilities management (IFM), and preferably fit-out/ad-hoc works.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to represent the company confidently to clients.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams across sales, technical,
    and commercial functions.
